Today I am sharing with you my FREE World Map Labeling and Picture Card Set that I have used with my students in classrooms and homeschools for many years.

The reason I love this set so much is that it can be used in different ways to foster interest, exploration, and overall curiosity about the world for learners of any age…and there is no right or wrong way to use it!

This FREE 7-Page printable (that can be downloaded and printed immediately), includes 30 world map labels and 27 picture cards divided into the categories of New 7 Wonders of the World, Famous Structures, Natural Wonders, Inventions, Famous Eventsand Just for Fun.

It
also includes five different ways I have used this set with my students as a game, as a way to tell stories, as a fact finding-tool, as a conversation starter, and as a way to playfully learn the way around a map of the world.

Children love these map labels and picture cards because they are visual and bring to life some of the most interesting areas and aspects of our world.

This set includes everything from Mt. Kilimanjaro (TANZANIA) to the Grand Canyon (USA), Machu Picchu (PERU) to the Roman Colosseum (ITALY), events such as Songkran Water Festival (THAILAND) and Carnival (BRAZIL), and the inventions of Legos (DENMARK) and Chocolate (MEXICO) – and so much more. There is so much hands-on learning to be done!

If you don’t have a world map – no problem – you can just gather all the worldly books you can find, especially those with maps and interesting facts about the world, and task your learners with finding one or two facts about any of the picture cards that appeal to them.

I encourage you to download this FREE printable to see what it brings to your learners, whether at home or in a school setting. TIP: Let your learners cut everything out! : )

I hope you enjoy this set and that it brings curiosity, excitement, inspiration, and much joy to your learners.

Don’t forget…children who learn about the world are more likely to make change in the world.

Thank you for bringing world culture into the lives of your learners.
